Christmas Art Sale

Pineville, LAThe Louisiana College Art Department is pleased to announce their annual Christmas Art Sale in conjunction with this year’s “Follow the Star -A Louisiana College Christmas” event. Students, faculty, and local artists will present their work for this annual celebration, which will include ceramics, painting and Christmas cards. A variety of ceramic items will be available including: hand made vessels, decorated items and small sculptures. Also included in the show/sale will be paintings, drawings, etching and Christmas cards.  Please join us for this special occasion; it will be the perfect opportunity to find that one of a kind gift at a reasonable price for the art lover on your Christmas list.

Holcombe Collection art exhibit to open Feb. 14th

Pineville, LA. The Louisiana College Art Department is proud to announce the upcoming art exhibit, “The Holcombe Collection.” The exhibit will be held in the art gallery in the Weathersby Fine Arts Building on the campus of Louisiana College.

The opening reception is Thursday, February 14th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. with a lecture on collecting practices by Dr. and Mrs. David Holcombe at 6 p.m. The Holcombes have an eclectic art collection with numerous pieces of art by local and Louisiana artists. Their collection also includes pieces of art from Europe, Africa and Latin America.

The Holcombes exhibit will run from Thursday, February 14th through February 29th. The exhibit and opening reception are free and open to the public. The gallery hours are Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
