The China Study: Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss, and Long-Term Health

Pineville, LA…Louisiana College will host, T. Colin Campbell, MD, renowned researcher, speaker, and author to speak at Guinn Auditorium, on February 21, 2008 at 6:00p.m.  Dr. Campbell will discuss his book, The China Study, in which he clears up some of the misinformation and confusion that many people have about what constitutes a “healthy” diet.

The China Study is a result of Dr. Campbell’s many years of researching the correlation between nutrition and deadly diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.  Although not a diet book, The China Study does challenge the validity of the many “low-carb” diets that are so popular today, and even warns of their potential harm to dieters.

This event is sponsored in partnership with Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and the American Heart Association.

There is no admission fee; however, donations will be accepted on behalf of the American Heart Association.
