LC to Host Community-wide Worship Service

Pineville, LA…Louisiana College will hold a community-wide worship service on Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:30 p.m. in the new Wildcat Stadium. Head Football Coach Dennis Dunn will be the featured speaker.


Dr. Joe Aguillard explains, “This is something that we would like to become an annual event on the campus of LC. A time for students, faculty, staff and community members to get together and pray as the fall semester begins.”

Louisiana College ranked in America’s Best

Pineville, LA.Louisiana College has once again been named in the U.S. News and World Report’s America’s Best Colleges report. The 2010 edition has ranked Louisiana College 45 in the “Best Baccalaureate Colleges Southern Region” category out of 319 baccalaureate colleges in the nation.


The method that the U.S. News & World Report uses to rank colleges and universities consists of several steps. First, the colleges are categorized by their mission and region, and they gather data from each on up to 16 indicators of academic excellence. The colleges in each category are ranked against their peers, based on their composite score. The U.S. News rankings are based on key measures of quality, which include: academic reputation, graduation and retention rates, student selectivity, faculty to student ratio and alumni giving.

Revised Registration Information

Pineville, LA…Louisiana College has announced an updated schedule for students who still need to verify their financial aid (scholarships, grants, etc.) and/or finalize payment.  Additionally, the Office of Academic Affairs has announced that classes for the fall semester (evening and day) will begin on Wednesday, August 26, instead of the original start date of Monday, August 24.
