Press Conference to be held in Shreveport

Pineville, LA.The Louisiana College Board of Trustees and Dr. Joe Aguillard, President of Louisiana College, will hold a press conference on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the University Club located on the 15th floor of the American Tower (Morgan Keegan building) in Shreveport, Louisiana. At this time an announcement will be made about the location of the Louisiana College Judge Paul Pressler School of Law, the naming of the founding Dean and the announcement of two major gifts.


Louisiana College, founded in 1906 by Louisiana Baptists is a Christian, liberal arts college offering selected professional programs for undergraduate and graduate degrees and is one of the most recognized colleges in the South. The new law school is being named for Judge Paul Pressler, III. He served as a Justice of the Texas Court of Appeals, former district judge and member of the Texas State Legislature, and key leader of the Southern Baptist Convention. Judge Pressler currently lives in Houston, Texas.

Fall Registration

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

Pineville, LA. Louisiana College will hold registration for the 2010 Fall Semester beginning on Wednesday, August 18 through Friday, August 20.  The location of registration has been changed to the Norton Library on the campus of LC.


Students taking only evening classes register on Wednesday, August 18th from 5:30-6:30p.m at Norton Library.


Students who are pre-registered must finalize their registration on Thursday, August 19, according to the first letter of their last name:


 8 – 9 a.m. – A, B, D       

 9-10 a.m. – L, M, N, O

10 – 11 a.m. – P, V, W, X, Y, Z

1-2 p.m. – G, H, I, J

2 -3 p.m. – C, E, F, K          

3 – 4 p.m. – Q, R, S, T, U 


*Please note: pre-registered students who do not finalize their registration according to the above schedule will have their schedules dropped and will have to register on Friday, August 20.


Students attending Louisiana College for the first time will register on Friday, August 20, according to the first letter of their last name.  Registration for first time students will also include vehicle registration, and confirmation of meal plan and housing.


8 – 9 a.m. – Q, R, S, T, U

9– 10 a.m. – C, E, F, K

10 – 11 a.m. – A, B, D

1 -2 p.m. – G, H, I, J

2-3 p.m. – L, M, N, O

3-4 p.m. – P, V, W, X, Y, Z
