tlc Presents Seussical the Musical

Pineville, LAtheatre louisiana college will present their spring production, Seussical the Musical, beginning Thursday, April 7th at 7 p.m. in the Martin Performing Arts Theater on the campus of Louisiana College.  Additional show times will be Friday and Saturday, April 8-9 and April 14-16 at 7 p.m.  Matinee showings will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9th and Sunday, April 17th (There will be no matinee performance on Sunday April 10th).  Seussical the Musical is fun for all ages and is based on the classic works of Dr. Seuss. The production features music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens.  The cast is comprised of a host of LC students and faculty and staff.

Caudell Cup Competition April 2nd

Pineville, LA Louisiana College Department of Music, together with the Pineville Kiwanis Club, will host the 2011 Caudell Cup Piano Competition on Saturday, April 2nd at 10:00 am in Presser Recital Hall at Louisiana College.  The annual Caudell Cup Competition is open to pianists of any nationality who are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in the state of Louisiana. Undergraduate students from around the state will compete for this year’s award. Contestants’ performances are open to the public free of charge.

  

In addition to being awarded the prestigious Caudell Cup, the first prize winner in the competition will also receive a cash prize of $300 and will be invited to perform during one of the Pineville Kiwanis Club this spring.

Update on Dr. Aguillard 3.29.11

Update on Dr. Joe Aguillard, President of Louisiana College
Pineville, LA. … The latest update from Dr. Aguillard’s family concerning his condition is that he was moved to a room in the Cardiac ICU at Rapides Regional. His nurses reported that he had a good night, rested comfortably and is making improvement.

After meeting with his surgeon this morning Dr. Aguillard will need at least a triple bypass that will take place early next week.

Update on Dr. Aguillard

Here is the latest update on LC President, Dr. Joe Aguillard.

Dr. Aguillard was moved to the cardiac ICU at Rapides Regional last night where nurses said he had a “good night”.  He is in stable condition and is improving.  He is expected to be moved to a regular room within the next couple of days and will undergo bypass surgery sometime next week. More updates will be given as they become available.  Thanks for your continued prayers.

Dr. Aguillard Suffers Heart Attack

Pineville, LA. … This morning Dr. Joe Aguillard, President of Louisiana College, was taken to Rapides Regional Hospital with chest pains. Doctors have confirmed that he did have a heart attack.

 The latest update from Dr. Aguillard’s family concerning his condition is that he suffered minimal damage to his heart from the heart attack itself. Doctors have diagnosed him with Coronary Artery Disease and he will undergo by-pass surgery in about one week.

Currently he is resting comfortably and is in no pain. Dr. Aguillard is not settled in a room yet, and doctors are not allowing visitors at this time.
