2010 Spring Commencement

Pineville, LA.The Louisiana College Office of Academic Affairs announces commencement exercises on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Guinn Auditorium on the campus of Louisiana College. This year, diplomas will be conferred on 142 students who have fulfilled undergraduate requirements; additionally, 25 students will receive a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and 13 students will receive an associate’s degree of applied science.


“It has been another exciting year at Louisiana College, and we’re blessed to have so many outstanding students,” said Dr. Aguillard, President of Louisiana College. “This class will take the academics, faith and values that they have learned while at LC and impact our community, country and world for Jesus Christ.”


This year’s commencement speaker is Tony Perkins, President of the Washington D.C. based Family Research Council. Perkins is a former Louisiana legislator and also the host of the radio program, “Washington Watch Weekly” and provides a daily commentary carried by more than 300 radio stations across the country.


“Tony Perkins is a champion of the values our country is founded upon – faith, freedom and family,” explained Aguillard. “His work in Washington is of utmost importance when it comes to defending America’s strong Christian heritage. Tony has been a long-time friend of Louisiana College, and we’re excited to have him back on campus.”
