Spirituality and Health Care Symposium set for Jan. 27th

 The Louisiana College School of Nursing and Allied Health announces the second annual “Spirituality and Health Care Symposium” on Thursday, January 27th in the Granberry Conference Center from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. The symposium will feature guest speakers Dr. David Hoffeditz and his wife, Dr. Lori Hoffeditz from Ohio.

The topics this year are “Spirituality, Sickness, and Healing: Listening to a Biblical Heartbeat” and “Feast or Famine: Binging on the Integration of Spirituality and Eating Disorders.” There will be a panel discussion after the presentations.

Dr. David Sharp, Professor of Nursing at LC, explains the unique nature of this conference, “This symposium is designed to examine the spiritual dimension of health care that all health care providers are expected to address.  Secondly, the symposium will explore the spiritual dimension of eating disorders which is a topic that is not discussed often.”
