Professor Stokes’ Work Currently on Exhibit in Two States

Louisiana College Art Professor, WangLing Chou Stokes is currently participating in two juried shows, one in California and the other in Ohio. “Cola Tea Set” was selected into The Clay and Glass National Juried Competition Show, sponsored by the Association of Clay and Glass of California and the City of Brea. The show began on January 22nd and will run through March 4th at the City of Brea Art Gallery in Brea, California.

The other work “Easy-Hold Jar” is in the Centennial Alumni Exhibition II: Next’s at the School of Art Galleries in Kent, Ohio. This show is one of the events for Kent State University’s Centennial celebration. Professor Stokes’ work was selected to represent Kent State University’s outstanding alumnus. “It is a very special honor for me to be chosen, explained Stokes. “Each year, there are hundreds of art students that graduate from Kent State University. Many of them become successful artists in their field.” The show began on January 11th and will run through February 11th.

WangLing Chou Stokes is an Assistant Professor of Art at Louisiana College.
