Louisiana College begins new lecture series

Louisiana College is proud to announce the beginning of the Louisiana College Scholars Series. “The series was created to provide an outlet for our professors to share their knowledge, expertise and accomplishments with LC students, other faculty members, staff and central Louisiana community members,” said Dr. Aguillard, President of Louisiana College. The series will include presentations, lectures, exhibits, performances, etc.

The first presenter is Dr. Henry O. Robertson, Associate Professor of History and Chair of the History and Political Science Department at LC. Dr. Robertson has recently published his first book, “In the Habit of Acting Together” The emergence of the Whig Party in Louisiana, 1828 – 1840. Dr. Robertson will give a talk and presentation about the early origins of Louisiana politics and then have a book signing immediately following the presentation.
