Every year at this time hundreds of excited, incoming Louisiana College freshmen descend upon the campus. Starting tomorrow, Thursday, June 14th, FROSH DAYS officially begins at Louisiana College with registration at 8 a.m. and a welcome from 9:30 to 10 a.m.

FROSH DAYS is a two-day program packed with informative sessions and fun events designed to make transition into college as easy as possible. Besides the fun entertainment and games, students will have the opportunity to meet other students, experience dorm life and pre-register for fall classes. The pre-registration is important for new students because it allows them to choose the classes they want and also meet with professors.

Incoming freshmen are not the only ones invited to FROSH DAYS; parents play an integral role, too. Parents are also invited to this event that offers separate but concurrent programs specifically designed for parents and/or guardians. The program includes opportunities for parents to meet with professors, administrators and current Louisiana College parents to discuss a variety of issues including: academic performance, student health care, campus safety, financial aid, campus support systems, campus housing among others.

Associate Director of Admissions, Jeremy Johnson explains, “FROSH DAYS is a great opportunity for Louisiana College’s Freshman Class to become familiar with the campus, pre-register for fall classes, and to get a better feel for LC.  But most importantly it‘s a time for our incoming class to meet each other and lay foundations for friendships that will last a lifetime.”

Approximately 120 students from across the state along with their parents will attend this year’s FROSH DAYS. A detailed schedule of events is located on our website. For more information about the 2007 Louisiana College FROSH DAYS contact the LC Office of Admissions (318) 487-7259 or visit
