Alpha Mu Tau to Induct Two Students

Pineville, LA… Alpha Mu Tau, Louisiana College’s local chapter of Phi Alpha Theta,  will induct two students into the  their group during a ceremony on April 7,2009.   Being inducted into the History honor society are: Matthew Long, senior public administration major/history minor,  from Monroe, LA  and Kelly Williams, a sophomore history major,  also from Monroe.  

Phi Alpha Theta is a national History Honor Society which recognizes students for their achievments in the area of history; however, membership in Alpha Mu Tau is not limited to history majors.  To be eligible for induction,  undergraduate students must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours in history with a minimum GPA of 3.1 and have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.  Additionally, candidates must be in the top 35% of their class.  Faculty sponsors for Alpha Mu Tau are Dr. Henry Robertson and Dr. Scott Culpepper.
