Nursing Professor receives Doctor of Health Science Degree

Elizabeth Battalora, Associate Professor of Nursing, received her Doctor of Health Science, D.H.Sc., from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale; FL. Degrees will be conferred in August. This interdisciplinary program is an applied doctorate with an internship and practicum. A Doctor of Health Science degree is a post-professional degree program designed for Master’s prepared health care professionals to provide advanced knowledge in health arts, sciences, policy and scholarship needed to expand career mobility and advancement. Battalora was able to obtain her degree with assistance from the Louisiana College faculty development summer sabbatical and the Louisiana State Board of Regents Doctoral fellowship for nursing education.
