Louisiana College announces founding of Law School

Pineville, LA. …. Louisiana College is proud to announce the establishment of the “Judge Paul Pressler School of Law.” A press conference on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at noon in the Granberry Conference Center will provide specific information.

During the press conference Dr. Joe Aguillard, President of Louisiana College, will discuss an overview of the process and timeline for opening the law school.

Judge Paul Pressler is an exceptional jurist in the state of Texas and a patriarch in the Southern Baptist Convention. Judge Pressler may best be known for his book, A Hill on Which to Die, an autobiographical history of the conservative resurgence in the Southern Baptist Convention.

“Founding a law school is a monumental undertaking but one that we are working on diligently,” explained Dr. Joe Aguillard, President of Louisiana College. “Opening a conservative, Christian law school will fill a niche in the state of Louisiana, and also the nation,” Aguillard explained. The goal of the Judge Paul Pressler School of Law will be to train and equip young men and women to view the practice of law through a biblical worldview.
